The future of coldfusion depends on its ability to scale smoothly without the astronomical cost that caused the stagnitation of "MySpace". The CF cloud adoption is really late in the game, however there is much to be anticipated for the use of CF for mobile application development in the next release. Their are some pros however with the advent of Coldbox by Otris Solutions and other opensource projects that are refueling new possibilities in CF truly scalable enterprise adoption. CF is the most powerful and fastest language there is but it is lurking in the dark ages.
